The Heat Gets its Promised Unrated Cut in the US With enough success at the box office to push forward with a sequel, the surprisingly violent action comedy The Heat with Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock will continue to woe customers with the upcoming home video release. This will feature the theatrical version and an Unrated Cut. Such a version was announced earlier by director Paul Feig but recent examples from the last couple of months showed that such promises are not always kept. Feig makes it come true, though, and since the theatrical version omitted some of the jokes that could be seen in the trailer, here's hope that they will be re-inserted in the film with this longer cut. Concrete release dates are not yet announced but the DVD and Blu-ray editions are already listed. You can order them at Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk.
