Carrie [2013] - Reshoots to Make the Film Darker

Chloe Grace Moretz Shares Details About Production

The release date of the Carrie remake starring Chloe Grace Moretz was initially set to start in US cinemas in May 2013 but was then postponed until October 15th, 2013. The reason for this has now been mentioned by Moretz in an interview with Joblo.

In May, reshoots were undertaken in order to make the film darker and more intense. Moretz had this to say about it:

“We actually prolonged the film, to be honest... We did some reshoots [in Toronto this past May], and added three extra scenes with Julianne [Moore, playing Carrie’s mother Margaret] and I to make the movie even deeper and darker. We prolonged a couple of scenes that needed to have an extra moment or an extra beat just to make it even deeper. It wasn’t about cutting anything out or trying to edit around things; it was about adding more to make the movie scarier and more intense.” - See more at: http://www.joblo.com/horror-movies/news/carrie-remake-underwent-reshoots-recently-chloe-moretz-reveals#sthash.JOXbiHI1.dpuf
