Scary Movie 5 Gets an Unrated Version on DVD/BD When Scary Movie was released in cinemas in 2000, probably nobody expected the masses of spoof comedies that this hit would provoke. But apart from that, the Scary Movie franchise itself got sequels, too, and has now reached its 5th installment. The most recent film entered theaters earlier this year but couldn't manage to repeat the success of its predecessors. In order to make some more cash, Unrated Cuts are the way to go for many distributors and so it's no surprise that Scary Movie 5 will be another example of this strategy. The release will come out in the US on August 20th, 2013 and is said to be 2 minutes longer than the theatrical version. Further additional and alternate scenes can be found in the bonus section.
