Comparison between the cut British DVD (BBFC 15) and the uncut German DVD (FSK 16), both released by Universal.
In order to get a BBFC 12A Rating for its Theatrical release approximately 10 seconds had to be cut out off the movie. The BBFC's homepage lists the DVD of 2 Fast 2 Furious with a BBFC 12 Rating in its cut and uncut version and with a BBFC 15 Rating in its uncut version. As the following report shows the BBFC 15 DVD lacks 10 seconds, as well. While the British DVD uses alternative footage for two short shots of Brian putting away his gun and of Enrique, Brian and Roman are kicking Enrique more often in the uncut version. The footage that was used for the British DVD has not been used at any other part of the movie. Not on the German DVD, either, when Brian once points the gun at Enrique and kicks him at the next moment without having the gun in his hand. The British Blu-ray, however, being released some years later, has the fully uncensored version on board (thanks to Leigh Burne for the info). Running time of the cut British DVD without end titles: 1:36:15 Running time of the uncut German DVD without end titles: 1:36:25 1 cut = 10 sec. 1:32:22
As mentioned before, the British DVD uses alternative footage. Brian puts his gun in his pants. Then we see Enrique lying on the ground for a short moment (2 sec.). The German DVD does not contain those scenes. But it shows Brian kicking Enrique in the stomach and in the face. Roman bends over Enrique and spits on him. Then Brian kicks him from above and Roman kicks him in the side. 10.12 sec.
