Spider-Man 3 - Editor's Cut Released on Blu-ray Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 (2007) was a huge disappointment for many many fans. One can always argue taste but the box office result wass satisfying nonetheless. While it grossed lessed than the two previous installments in North America, the worldwide result of $891 million was excellent. As recently reported, Amazon.com recently offered a so-called Editor's Cut via download but it did not take long for them to take it off. At that point, it was still not clear what exactly was going on but a new Blu-ray release was up and assumptions that the Editor's Cut would be part of said release were made. This has been confirmed now. The Limited Edition Collection by Sony Pictures contains all three installments on Blu-ray. Besides the Theatrical Versions and the Extended Version of Spider-Man 2, the box set also contains the mentioned Editor's Cut of Spider-Man 3. That begs the question what is different in the Editor's Cut. A detailed comparison will be released soon but for starters, one can get a taste of the new cut on comicbookmovie. And the fact of the matter is: There is new footage while some footage from the Theatrical Version has been removed. In addition to that, scenes have been recut. Buy this title on Amazon
