Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug 25 Minutes Longer Peter Jackson is on a roll when it comes to hinting at extended editions of his films set in J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy world. Apart from teasing possible longer Extended Cuts of the original Lord of the Rings trilogy, he also shared details of the upcoming Extended Edition for The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug: PJ: The Smaug movie, we’ve got 25 or 26 minutes of pretty good stuff for that DVD. The first one, there wasn’t that much we left on the cutting room floor and it wasn’t earth shattering. But this is worthwhile stuff that you haven’t seen before. Well, that sounds like a prolonged version that really deserves that title, considering that the 13 more minutes that An Unexpected Journey got were less than fans would have liked, even though the bonus materials were fantastic. In the UK, the SEE for Smaug is already listed at Amazon for a release on November 3rd, 2014. It can be expected that the US is soon to follow. You can already order it at Amazon.co.uk.
