Wolfenstein: The New Order - NS Symbols in the UK? The past weeks caused somewhat of an information chaos regarding the upcoming shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order. Since the depiction of Nazi symbols and swastikas in video games is forbidden by German law, it forces publishers to remove them for the German-speaking territories. This usually doesn't affect game releases in other countries but in this case, the situation wasn't so clear and for some fans especially troublesome since the plot of Wolfenstein: The New Order is also altered for the German-speaking version so that it doesn't revolve around Nazi experiments but rather of a shadowy group with no Nazi background. Now, the British website Metro published an interview with the game's creative director Jens Matthies and he confirmed that the UK version of the game will have the symbols.
That means that the UK release can probably ordered and an expensive import of the US version can be avoided for British customers. You can order it either at Amazon.co.uk or at Amazon.com. ![]()
