Gambit - UK Version is Shorter than German Release
Gambit is a 2012 remake from the 60's crime comedy wit the same title. While it still awaits its theatrical release in the US, other countries such as the UK or Germany already got served. That's not a rare occasion, especially when a film has a multitude of different distributors. While many companies outside of the US try to make their money back by wasting no time and putting films in cinemas right away, the US oftentimes wait for the "right" date. That can go so far that the Blu-ray can already be purchased in other markets while the US still look at a release date "somewhere next year".
But it gets more interesting because it appears that the film exists in different versions. While Gambit has a runtime of 89 minutes in the UK, the German release has 99 minutes. Maybe a future comparison will shed light on the content that those 10 additional minutes offer.
