Little Deaths Only as Censored Version in the UK

BBFC Demands Cuts for the 18-Rating

It's common knowledge that the British ratings board BBFC doesn't like scenes with sexual violence. Some well-known genre films like the I Spit on Your Grave remake or A Serbian Film had to be censored in order to get a rating in the first place.

Less well-known is the 2011 produced horror film Little Deaths which has a UK release date on August 12th, 2013. The DVD is advertised as "Exclusive Director's Cut" but only contain a censored version of the movie. 41 seconds of cuts were required by the BBFC so that they could issue their BBFC 18 rating. The reason:

Cuts required to remove a focus on sadistic humiliation during a scene of sexual violence.

Those who want to own the movie without the censorship, can order the uncut version in Germany or at Amazon.com.
