Iron Sky - Director Talks Details of Longer Cut About a year ago, director Timo Vuorensola finished Iron Sky just 48 hours before it premiered at the Berlinale festival. It was too important for international distribution deals to take more time for finishing touches. In order to meet this deadline, some scenes that weren't fully produced were left out. Later on, this rushed version of the movie went into cinemas, as well. It wasn't the director's preferred cut and so he started working on it (as we reported earlier). This director's cut is now finished and will contain 20 minutes of additional footage, including more space battles, special effects and more music by Laibach.
It's surely just a matter of time before distributors start picking up the new cut. After all, the theatrical version already managed to acquire quite a fanbase.
