Cabal Cut of Nightbreed About to Be Released

Blu-ray Release Soon

In 2014, Scream Factory released the original Theatrical Version and also the 19 minutes longer Director's Cut of Clive Barker's Nightbreed on Blu-ray for the very first time. Back then, the producers stated that the longer Director's Cut was NOT the Cabal Cut. But the status quo is about to change. According to CliveBarkerCast, the Cabal Cut footage is available in the best quality possible and it will be released on Blu-ray soon:

"Remember the graininess and the terrible muddy quality of the VHS workprints? That’s been cleared out a LOT, although for some segments they still used it; but there’s no other choice for those segments that weren’t found in the warehouse boxes for the Shout! Factory edition.

12 minutes of VHS footage remain on a 145 minute Cabal Cut. Stuff you’ve never seen anywhere else, folks."

The Blu-ray is supposed to be region free and it contains some extras as well. As soon as further information is available, we will let you know. However, some of the artwork has already been made public.
