Spy Comes With Extended Version on Home Video In Spy, the real highlight isn't Melissa McCarthy as the heroine Susan Cooper but the indestructible Jason Statham as an arrogant agent that compromises Susan's efforts even though he just wants to help. And that is only one reason why one should hope that the Extended Cut on the upcoming Blu-ray will feature more of him. According to the BBFC's database, the entry for an audio commentary with a runtime of 124:58 minutes suggests that the prolonged version runs approximately 5 minutes longer than in theaters. Even though the cover artwork does not yet suggest that a longer cut of the movie could be on board of the Blu-ray, the existence of it has been confirmed by Fox Germany. It will only be a matter of time until the information is placed on the cover more prominently. Both the US and UK do not yet have set release dates, so there's still time to fix that situation.
