Lake Placid vs. Anaconda Comes Unrated After Lake Placid and Anaconda could offer some well-known actors and decent FX (at the time of their release) in cinemas, the budgets and effort for the in total 7 direct-to-video sequels were drastically reduced and now both look likely to hit rock bottom with the crossover Lake Placid vs. Anaconda. Who will win? The snake or the croc in the lake? Suspense can hardly be higher than this. In the US, the film hits the shelves on August 4th, 2015. Only on DVD as Sony does sometimes, signaling the customer that they don't really seem to care about the film either. For many Americans it's mostly something for pay TV or streaming but not for a purchase with the goal of putting it on the cupboard. But if you're still one of those collectors, you can order it at Amazon.com.
