Manglehorn - Appeal Leads to Lower Rating In the drama Manglehorn, Al Pacino plays the ex-con with the same name who tries to lead a normal life as a locksmith while fearing that his criminal past doesn't catch up to him. In March 2015, the MPAA gave the film an "R" rating for "some sexual material". The distributor appealed that and tried to convince the board that a lower rating would be just as fine. Apparently, that attempt was successful as the rating has now been lowered to "PG-13" for "some sexual content and language, and for accident and surgery images". ![]()
