A Candle for the Devil With Blu-ray Premiere in UK On June 1st, 2015, the British film distributor Odeon will release the Spanish horror movie A Candle for the Devil (original title: Una vela para el diablo) on Blu-ray for the first time. The film was made in 1973 and could only be shown cut in cinemas. It took until 2008 until the DVD was re-rated by the BBFC and since then the film is available uncut (BBFC 18). In the US, a censored and shortened version of the film - titled It Happened at Nightmare Inn - was distributed. The changes especially affected sex and violence as our comparison shows. The UK Blu-ray is therefore also a nice opportunity for those interested in the US to get a hold of the uncensored film in HD. You can order it at Amazon.co.uk.
