Big Game - Censored in British Cinemas Cuts for the theatrical release are never a good thing but when it turns out to be so marginal like in the case of the upcoming survival thriller Big Game starring Samuel L. Jackson as the US president who has to hide from kidnappers with the help of a 13-year-old boy, a little smile can barely be hidden. In the UK, where the censorship measures for well-known cinema films has steadily increased over the last 3 years, the production company wanted to have the 12A rating for the movie. In order to know if that is likely, the film was submitted to the BBFC prior to completion:
A single word. Well, that is the mildest form of censorship compared to actual cuts that butcher up scenes. But in case that upsets you, we may have found a nice sweetener. Big Game starts in UK cinemas on May 7th, 2015. The US follow on June 26th. ![]()
