X-Men: Days of Future Past Removes Action Scene

Director Kicks Only Scene with Rogue's Character

All those deleted scenes featured on DVD and Blu-ray have to come from somewhere, right? As EW now reports, director Bryan Singer removed a complete action sequence from the film X-Men: Days of Future Past. It is the only scene in which Rogue (played by Anna Paquin) appears. With that, she will not be in the movie at all.

Singer had the following to say about his decision:

Bryan Singer: “Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous. It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.”

The film starts in US cinemas on May 23rd, 2014. The UK get it one day earlier.
