The Internship Exists as R-Rated and PG-13 Version According to director Shawn Levy, it wasn't that hard to convince the studio to greenlight The Internship. A reunion of the Wedding Crashers duo Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as interns at Google. Who wouldn't want to see that. And just as calculated as the concept is the production. As the director tells Collider in an interview, many scenes were shot for both an "R" and a "PG-13" rating. The one cut has nude girls in the strip club, the other one doesn't. The one has many curse words, the other one doesn't. The decision as to what version will be released in cinemas will be made shortly before. This week, the MPAA released its weekly bulletin and it doesn't come as a surprise that the PG-13 finally made it. That's the version of the film that will be released in cinemas on June 7th, 2013. It is safe to assume that the raunchier cut of the movie will end up on DVD and Blu-ray (probably called "Unrated" then).
