World War Z Gets Altered Because of China World War Z is one of the big blockbusters in the summer of 2013. It has a budget of 175 million Dollars, much action and effects and on top of that, it has Brad Pitt in the leading role. Masses are supposed to run to the cinemas if all goes well. Actually, the movies is already finished but now the film has to endure an adjustment because of the Chinese. That is due to a scene in which the characters discuss the origin of the zombie apocalypse and blame China as the starting point. The Chinese didn't like that and demanded that the location of the outbreak should be changed. Since China is an important market for the movie industry nowadays (and even gets exclusive versions of movies such as Iron Man 3 or Looper), Paramount agreed to change that aspect to make sure that World War Z is shown in Chinese cinemas. It's currently unknown which country is now the scapegoat that is responsible for the zombies. We'll find out soon enough, though.
