Nymphomaniac - Sex Drama Released in 2 Versions It was announced some time ago that Lars von Trier's next theatrical film Nymphomaniac would feature real sex scenes. Actor Shia LaBeouf (Transformers) was eager to be a part of the project and even to go the extra mile. If that really happens or if the most sex scenes will eventually be performed by porn actors has yet to be seen. There were also comments by the persons involved that the film would most likely get a mainstream version, as well, which will cut back on the sex scenes so that it cannot be declared as pornography. This is now official. The film will be released in a hardcore and a softcore version. It remains to be seen how the distribution for the film goes. Films like 9 Songs or Lars von Trier's film Antichrist also featured hardcore scenes and were distributed in various territories without censorship issues. Especially the US are a quite problematic area for a film like Nymphomaniac so it will be interesting how the distribution plan turns out. Don't be surprised if you don't get to see the hardcore version in cinemas.
