Video Game Ratings to Become Binding in the US? In contrast to other countries such as the UK, the American ESRB ratings are not binding by law. The Democrat congressman has now submitted a draft bill entitled "H.R. 287" which is supposed to change that. The specific changes that the bill introduces, are:
Many stores in the US do already follow such a policy as it is set in the 2nd point. The new law would make such a behaviour mandatory.
