The comedy Sixteen Candles by director John Hughes, starring Molly Ringwald, has been released on Blu-ray in several countries. As on almost all home cinema releases worldwide, the theatrical version is included.

But there was an extended version on US TV, which has at least one more scene to offer. This one finds its way on Blu-ray via Arrow Video for the first time. In England, the label has launched the new release on July 22, 2019.
