Die Hard Rip-Off With Dave Bautista Censored in UK Theaters

Censored Theatrical Version in order to get a lower rating happens all the time - and the UK is no exception. A current example would be Red Sparrow (comparison), further examples are Death Wish (2017) or The Equalizer 2 (2018).

The next member of this elite club is the actioner Final Score with Dave Bautista and Pierce Brosnan. Because the movie would been rated BBFC 18, distributor Altitude Film decided to make a few cuts beforehand in order to get the lower and more lucrative BBFC 15 rating.

This film was originally seen for advice. The company was told it was likely to be classified 18 but that their preferred 15 could be achieved by making reductions to stronger moments of violence. When the film was submitted for formal classification these moments had been acceptably reduced and the film was classified 15.

The censored BBFC 15 version will premier in UK theaters on 09/07/2018.
