The Mountain of the Cannibal God on Blu-ray On 05/07/2018, Sergio Martino's The Mountain of the Cannibal God (Original: La Montagna del dio Cannibale, 1978) will be released on Blu-ray for the very first time in the UK. The release by Shameless Films will be based on a new 2K scan andaccording to the label, there will be new sex and gore scenes in the movie. At this point, it remains unclear if this is only the case in the UK for the first time or if these are entirely new scenes never seen on any previous release. The Blu-ray release is also supposed to be the longest UK Version ever. The entry in the BBFC database reveals that six scenes ("animal cruelty") with a total length of approx. two minutes were cut.
