Star Wars: The Force Awakens With New Blu-ray In April 2016, Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released on DVD and Blu-ray around the globe. However, only the 2D version was on board and it was pretty clear that the 3D version shown in theaters would also come at a later date. It's Disney after all and they know how to make money. And now, there's also a release date for that version: on November 15th, 2016, the new Blu-ray edition will hit US shelves. Apart from the already existing bonus features, the 4-disc Collector's Edition will also have lots of new bonus stuff on board, including new deleted scenes:
