The Boss - Extended Version for Home Video

Melissa McCarthy's Comedy Prolonged on Blu-ray

Since Melissa McCarthy's appearance in Bridesmaids in 2011, she has quickly become the leading lady of several comedy films with premises often tailored to her comedic abilities and physical appearance. In addition to that, she seems to have the gimmick that most of her films get a longer version later on home video. That happened for This is 40, Identity Thief, The Heat, Tammy and Spy.

It is therefore not much of a surprise that her next movie The Boss will also get that treatment. As the database of the Australian Classification Board shows, an Extended Cut will await fans on Blu-ray, adding approx. 2 minutes of footage to the film. Let's see if she can continue her streak with the new Ghostbusters movie, shall we?
