A Lizard in a Woman's Skin - US Blu-ray Premiere

Lucio Fulci Film Arrives in HD by Mondo Macabro

Lucio Fulci's A Lizard in a Woman's Skin (original title: Una lucertola con la pelle di donna, 1971) had some censorship trouble as it was considerably censored for the US theatrical version (see comparison). It also exists in two versions in the US on DVD (see comparison).

So the upcoming US HD premiere for the movie seems like a convenient opportunity to get the film in its full glory. In November, the distributor Mondo Macabro will release a Blu-ray edition that is limited to 999 units. In early 2016, that is to be expanded to an unlimited number. This upcoming version is announced as "complete version" with a runtime of 104 minutes. It remains to be seen whether it will contain all of the scenes mentioned in our comparison. The edition comes with English and Italian audio and English subtitles.
