Found - Also Cut Required in Great Britain The serial killer drama Found shapes up to be quite a problematic case in terms of censorship. After it failed heavily at the Australian Classification Board both in its uncut version and in a cut that already missed 6 minutes, a third attempt finally worked and got the R18+ rating after 7 minutes were removed. And since the film does involve sexual scenes and violence, it was interesting to wait for what the BBFC had to say about it and how it would react to the film. And indeed, even though they are decidedly more liberal in terms of violence, their guidelines called for censorship, as well, in order to apply the BBFC 18 rating:
According to the BBFC's database, that cut is only 4 seconds long which is almost nothing compared to the Australian version but it still shows that Found crosses the borders of different rating systems. The unrated US DVD is an alternative, though, and can be ordered at Amazon.com.
