Muppets Most Wanted Gets Extended Cut on Blu-ray Granted, Muppets Most Wanted couldn't quite repeat the huge success of its predecessor and maybe that's the reason why Disney is so generous with the upcoming Blu-ray release. The film starring Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and many more will have an Extended Cut on the HD medium. This so-called "Unnecessarily Extended Edition" will contain 12 more minutes of footage and is accompanied by the theatrical version and a third bonus version that is called "Statler and Waldorf Cut". We'll have to take a look at what it is all about. On August 12th, 2014, the Blu-ray will hit the shelves in the US. You can order it at Amazon.com.
