Joy Ride 3 gets Released in 2 Versions

R-Rated and Unrated Version in the US This Summer

Rusty Nail is back. It has been 13 years since the first Joy Ride with Paul Walker was released. 5 years after that, the sequel Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead went straight to DVD and was released as an unrated version. In summer 2014, the third film of the franchise surfaces.

For June 17th, 2014, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced Joy Ride 3: Road Kill. Directed by Declan O'Brien, who's responsible for the last Wrong Turn installments, it will also be marketed as an unrated version on US DVD and Blu-ray:

Starring Ken Kirzinger (Freddy vs. Jason) as the infamous Rusty Nail, the JOY RIDE 3: ROAD KILL Blu-ray and DVD is loaded with extra features including a variety of deleted scenes, featurettes, behind-the-scenes content, and a gruesome unrated version of the film.

A censored version was also rated by the MPAA. It got the "R" rating but it has yet to be seen how widespread that version of the film will be.
