British Porn Filter Continues its Online Rampage We discussed late last year that the content filters used by the British internet providers due to government regulations worked very badly. They were supposed to protect from porn, P2P, undesirable politics and other things and if you don't use some tricks to work around that, you might be confronted with several collateral damages. After websites dealing with domestic violence or other information platforms were censored by the system, two more interesting cases have now come up and they show just how primitively these censoring devices actually work. Among the victims is jquery.com. It is used by many website administrators and that means that those sites are not correctly depicted on the screen if you are a user with these filters in effect. Also, an update for the video game League of Legends was banned by the porn filter because it contained these 2 data (among others):
