RoboCop Remake has its Official PG-13 Rating On this year's Comic Con, director Jose Padilha already announced that his RoboCop remake would start with a PG-13 rating in cinemas and that it was produced along the lines of this classification.
Of course, this was no good news for fans of Paul Verhoeven's very violent original. In the meantime, the MPAA has seen the film and applied the official rating:
As always in these matters, it can't be ruled out that the Blu-ray might feature a longer and harder version of the film later on. The potential is clearly visible but it's too early to build up such expectations. First of all, RoboCop starts in US cinemas on February 12th, 2014, while the UK get it a little earlier on February 7th, 2014. ![]()
