Carrie [2013] With Alternate Ending on Blu-ray With a budget of $30 million, the Carrie remake only barely made back these costs at the box office and has to rely on the markets outside of the US in order to make some more money. In the US, the home video release is the next chapter for the film. The DVD and Blu-ray are scheduled for January 14th, 2014, and 20th Century Fox has something in store for its customers. An alternate ending awaits those who purchase the film on Blu-ray. It is advertised as the "Director’s Never-Before-Seen Alternate Ending Too Shocking for Theaters!" it looks like this is indeed attached to the film itself and not just a part of the bonus materials. At least the product information suggests that: Feature Film With Alternate Ending [Blu-ray EXCLUSIVE] Customers who purchase the DVD will have to go without this perk. You can order the Blu-ray at Amazon.com. ![]()
