World War Z - Unrated Cut Release in September Director Marc Forster announced in the German magazine Focus that a harder version of his zombie blockbuster World War Z was in the works for the home video releases and it looks like he is a man of his words. In the interview, he mentioned that he had to give up on almost all usage of blood due to the family-friendly PG-13 rating in cinemas. This is something that he'll correct in the upcoming Unrated Cut. And this very Unrated Cut was now officially announced by Paramount Pictures. Entertainment Weekly reports that the action film will be released in the US on September 17th, 2013, on DVD and Blu-ray. The BD/DVD combo will contain the harder version on BD while the theatrical cut will be included on the DVD. Lead actor Brad Pitt is happy about the release of this unrated version:
It remains to be seen whether other countries get this new cut, as well, though it is highly likely. If you want to make sure, you can order it at Amazon.com. ![]()
