A Good Day to Die Hard - Finally Uncut in the UK
The 5th installment of the Die Hard franchise disappointed at the US box office and hauled in the lion's share of its $302 million success in overseas territories. After Japan, the UK were the biggest market for the film. Obviously, British cinemagoers weren't bothered by the censorship for the 12A rating (or weren't informed about it).
Contrary to several other cases, the UK now gets the uncensored version on DVD and Blu-ray, and the Extended Cut on top of that. The BBFC database now lists the "15" rating that the film should have gotten for cinemas. But these days are over now and A Good Day to Die Hard will be uncensored in Great Britain very soon.
