Hannibal - The Series Doesn't Air 4th Episode

Plot About Child Murders Not Suitable After Boston

The terror acts in Boston and their aftermath don't exclude US television. TV channel NBC took the fourth episode of the new thriller series Hannibal out of the program and showed the fifth instead.

Hannibal started on US TV just 4 weeks ago and tells the story of further murder cases of the FBI that are set before the events that take place in Manhunt / Red Dragon. In the series, Mads Mikkelsen plays the infamous cannibal and serial killer Hannibal Lecter.

In the skipped 4th episode, childs murder other children and in the light of the Newtown school shooting and the bombings in Boston, that was deemed inappropriate.

It remains to be seen whether the episode will be included on the home video releases.
