The Walking Dead - Season 1 Finally Uncensored The release of the first season of The Walking Dead wasn't really what one would call a perfect product. At least in Germany and the UK (and all the other countries that only got those masters for their releases). Of six episodes, 4 were shorter or censored in comparison to their US counterparts. You can find the reports in our archive. However, things partly brighten up. If you didn't want to import the US box before, Germany will offer a European alternative with the same region code on DVD or Blu-ray. Entertainment One Germany did submit the episodes to the German ratings board once more and this time, every episode is uncut. Since the outcry by fans was so huge, the distributor took action in order to solve this unfortunate situation. They announced that the new season 1 box will probably be released in Germany at the end of May 2013. As nearly always, the episodes will also offer an English audio track, making a purchase a viable option for people outside of Germany, as well.
