Chain Letter - Austrian Blu-ray Contains Unrated

First HD-Release of Longer Cut Worldwide

The slasher Chain Letter was released in two versions in the US. A censored "R" rated version was released alongside the obvious Unrated Cut. Fortunately, the Unrated Cut was no bluff package but did contain more bloody scenes (see our comparison). Normally, that would be the end of the story but not here. Unfortunately, the Unrated Cut was released only on DVD and not on Blu-ray. Only the censored version was available in HD to this point.

For some interested customers, there is now a solution as we discovered and checked that the Austrian release has the first Blu-ray that contains the harder version of Chain Letter. The release is a mediabook that has the film on board on both DVD and Blu-ray and also features an English 5.1 audio line. It costs about 35 Euros.
