Deadbeat at Dawn - Uncut Blu-ray in October

HD Upgrade by Arrow Video in the US and UK

Over the years, the independent film Deadbeat at Dawn got a lot of positive reviews from fans. As a result, director Jim Van Bebber tried to get money for a sequel via crowdfunding. Doubtful that there is enough money to do but perhaps one can show their support by purchasing the upcoming Arrow Video Blu-ray of the original.

Releasing the Uncut Version in the UK seemed impossible back in the days because the BBFC, their chairman in particular, made sure that a rating was rejected. According to the BBFC, there was too much graphic violence and he feared Deadbeat at Dawn might reach a bigger audience.

On 10/22/2018, Deadbeat at Dawn will be released on Blu-ray in the UK. The US Blu-ray will be available the day after.

The extras are as follows:

  • Brand new 2K restoration from original film elements by Arrow Films, supervised and approved by writer-director Jim VanBebber
  • High Definition Blu-ray (1080p) presentation
  • Original uncompressed PCM mono audio
