Between Night and Dawn - New Romero Box

Three Romero Films on Blu-ray/DVD by Arrow

George A. Romero's most popular films are his zombie flicks, no doubt. Between Night of the Living Dead (1968) and Dawn of the Dead (1978), he directed four more films. Arrow Video will release three of them in a Blu-ray/DVD box set.

The first one is There's Always Vanilla (1971). However, more interesting is the second one called Season of the Witch (1972). Originally, it had a length of 130 minutes but the distributor decided that it was too long. As a result, it was cut to a length of 89 minutes only and promoted as softcore porn under the name Hungry Wives. Until today, the original cut is considered lost. Parts of the missing footage have been found though and in 2005, a so-called Extended Version (104 minutes) was released on DVD in the US. Last but not least, there is The Crazies (1973).

As for the upcoming Arrow release: There's Always Vanilla is based on a new 2K scan, the other ones are based on a new 4K scan. The box set is called George A. Romero - Between Night and Dawn and it will be released on 10/23/2017 in the UK. The day after, it will also be released in the US. Each film is in a single keep case and the box also contains a booklet with 60 pages. The extras are as follows:
