No Extended Version for Alien: Covenant Ridley Scott's Prometheus sequel Alien: Covenant started in movie theaters in May. Several weeks ago, Scott announed that he had cut approx. 20 minutes after a test screening. Those who were hoping for an Extended Cut will be disappointed because 20th Centur Fox recently announced the details for the US release and an Extended Cut is not being mentioned at all. Instead, there are 12 deleted scenes with a total length of 17:58 minutes plus further bonus features:
