Blood Feast Remake Cut for R-Rating
Originally, the Blood Feast remake by Marcel Weiz was supposed to premier in April in US theaters. After some delays, the movie now starts on 07/28/2017. Unfortunately, one only gets to see the slightly censored R-Rated Version instead of the Unrated Version - as originally planned.
The intended R-Rating comes at a price: Minor cuts which are being explained by US distributor Eric Parkinson. He states showing the Unrated Version was not an option in some cities. For that reason, the decision to release a slightly shorter R-Rated Version was made in order to give more people the opportunity to see the movie on the big screen. In addition to that, the movie will be released theatrically in Canada as well. Release date for home theaters is 10/31/2017 and it is very likely that this release will contain the uncut Unrated Version.
