The Green Inferno Gets a Director's Cut Fans of Eli Roth had to wait quite some time until his cannibal horror film The Green Inferno was released. Produced in 2013, it took until September 2015 for the film to be released in US cinemas. Prior to that, it was shown on some festivals. The reason were distribution troubles that were later solved by Blumhouse and Universal. On January 5th, 2016, The Green Inferno will have its US release on DVD and Blu-ray. As a little bonus for the patience, potential buyers can look forward to a director's cut. At this moment, no information about this version and in what way it is different from the theatrical version but we'll compare that soon enough. You can order the US Blu-ray at Amazon.com.
