Family Guy/Simpsons Crossover Offends Parents On September 28th, 2014, the new seasons of Family Guy and The Simpsons start in the US and have quite a treat for fans. The Griffins will visit the Simpsons in Springfield in the first episode. And the encounter between Stewie and Bart does especially offend those who want to protect the youth. Bart shows Stewie how he makes fun of Moe on the phone by letting him ask for guests with ambiguous names. When it's Stewie's turn, he overplays it by telling Moe:
The PTC (Parents Television Council) saw this joke in a trailer for the episode and demanded that FOX cut the scene out because one shouldn't joke about that topic. FOX did not issue a statement on the matter but FG founder Seth MacFarlane finds the scene funny in the context of the two comic families clashing into each other.
Of course, it can't be ruled out that the whole thing is just marketing for the new season as the makers could be certain that the PTC and others would jump on the joke. You can judge for yourself whether the context helps the matter when the episode is aired this weekend.
