Found - Australia Release Finally Possible
In May 2014, the Australian ratings board deemed it necessary to deny the coming-of-age drama Found their classification. At least for the uncensored version of the film that features scenes with sexual violence, cannibalism and sex with bodyparts. Since the distributor Monster Pictures was still interested in releasing the film in Australia, cuts had to be made.
And those cuts added up to 6 minutes but that still wasn't enough to satisfy the members of the ratings board. A third attempt with almost 7 removed minutes of footage finally got the green light and the desired R18+ rating (for high impact sexualised violence, violence and themes). People in Down Under will have to look elsewhere for the uncut version of Found. We'll see where it will be available.
