X-Men: Days of Future Past - Director's Cut Ahead? It's common knowledge that a lot of scenes were left on the cutting room floor prior to the theatrical release of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Among others, a longer action sequence with Rogue was removed, rendering her appearance in the movie to an absolute minimum (one short scene). But that could change later this year. Producer Lauren Shuler Donner gave an answer on her Twitter account that feeds the hopes for a Director's Cut that could contain more footage. For the X-Men franchise, this is still a relatively rare move, considering that 20th Century Fox released a longer version of The Wolverine (see comparison) but not of any other of the movies. X-Men: Days of Future Past could continue this release strategy and maybe pave the way for this to become more usual for the franchise. The fan community will most likely not mind it. But first, let's wait and see how Shuler Donner's announcement turns out in reality.
