Bitten - Season 1 as Uncut Release in the US In the US, it's not uncommon that TV series are censored. Especially the increasing level of explicit violence seems to prompt basic cable and network channels to cut more often. Series such as Hannibal, Reign or the werewolf series Bitten starring Laura Vandervoort were affected, among others. The Canadian series was aired on Syfy in early 2014 and was apparently shown in a censored version on US TV. The home video release of the series is announced for fall 2014 and the announcement is quite clear on the issue:
