Anchorman 2 - Blu-ray Features 3 Versions We've assembled quite some news over the past few months regarding the version situation of Anchorman - The Legend Continues. The latest report was that a Super-Sized R-Rated cut of the movie will get a limited theatrical release for just 1 week in the US. But it remained unclear whether that "R" version was identical to the Unrated Cut, especially there was very little info available regarding the latter. But with the home video announcement now being released, we can report that the film will be available in 3 versions, at least on US Blu-ray. The overkill includes:
But even the bonus material offers more. Here, 90 minutes of deleted, extended and alternate scenes will be featured that didn't make it into any of the 3 film versions. This is accompanied by an audio commentary, auditions, diverse featurettes and more alternate gags. The DVD is very weak in comparison, only containing the PG-13 version and less bonus materials. The Blu-ray of Anchorman 2 will be available in the US starting April 1st, 2014. You can order it at Amazon.com.
