Sleepaway Camp - Final Info on US Release To this day, the slasher film Sleepaway Camp doesn't exist in its uncensored form on US DVD. All releases are censored (see comparison). Apart from that, the UK also have a censorship history with the film as it was once cut for the BBFC 18 classification (see comparison). On May 13th, 2014, the situation will change in the US. Scream! Factory will then release the film on DVD and Blu-ray and those editions will contain the completely uncensored "R"-rated version of the slasher. For that, a new 2K scan was produced from the original negative. The bonus section offers 3 audio commentaries (two of them being new), new interviews with cast and crew, a short film, a music video as well as TV spots and trailers. You can order it at Amazon.com.
