The Secret Life of Walter Mitty Censored in the UK Ben Stiller's new movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty has him not only starring in the leading role but also sitting in the director's chair. British fans of the actor can see the movie in cinemas starting December 26th, 2013, but will have to arrange with a censored version. The distributor showed the film to the BBFC and asked for advice regarding the rating. The board concluded that a BBFC 12 classification would be likely for the uncensored version but that was too high for the distributor. The BBFC then suggested some censorship that could make the PG rating possible. The distributor acted accordingly and removed a shot of a naked pin-up girl and reduced threatening moments in a fight.
